Lead Installer D&R Heating and Cooling, LLC

Position Overview: The Lead HVAC Installer is responsible for overseeing the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The Lead Installer will manage a team of HVAC technicians, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and concerns. A successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Ensure that all installations comply with local codes and regulations.
  • Train and supervise junior installers and technicians.
  • Perform system inspections and diagnostics to assess performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage project timelines and resources effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any client concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations and maintenance services.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • EPA certified required.
  • Valid WV HVAC Technician License Class 2 required, Class 1 preferred.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams, troubleshooting issues, and working with various HVAC systems including heating, cooling, and ventilation.
  • Leadership capabilities to manage a team.
  • Physical stamina for manual labor.
  • A commitment to ongoing education and staying current with industry trends.

Strong focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients clearly and professionally.

    West Virginia University Parkersburg offers short-term training programs in HVAC/R, between 6 and 15 weeks in duration. They are condensed curriculum certifications designed to prepare you for employment in the HVAC/R profession and return you to the workforce promptly.

    Bridge Valley Community and Technical College offers a two-year Commercial HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS) program. The program will combine online learning with structured hands-on laboratory exercises with HVAC equipment. Starts in the Fall semester.

    West Virginia Northern Community College offers an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology (HVACR). This program is designed to provide the technical knowledge and skills required of persons employed in the air conditioning, heating and refrigeration businesses. Students will be able to find employment in the areas of residential, commercial, and industrial air conditioning, heating and refrigeration installation, maintenance and service.
